In Access 2000 I have a main report with a subreport.
Page orientation is set to landscape for both reports.
I've downloaded and installed all service patches and it
still doesn't function as expected. The problem, the
first time the report is run it previews in portrait. I
open the page setup dialog and view the orientation, which
is set to landscape (as expected). I save and close the
report and when I run it subsequent to viewing the
orientation, it previews in landscape. Any ideas on
what's going on would be appreciated.

Gee. I never seen anything that suggest that installing sp3 will fix this?
Where did you get this info from?

The question of lost printer settings comes up almost daily..and the
solution to this problem here:

ACC2000: Lost Printer Settings When Name AutoCorrect Is Enabled

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;240826

RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a
(SR-1/SR-1a).

I am hard pressed to search and find any other solution offered then the
above....

Email came back from MS and they don't deal with this issue and couldn't even tell me where to go to get help

No wonder all major companies are giving MS office the flick and moving to Lynx/Oracal.. system

Gee...that is kind of bad. I always feel bad when someone gets the wrong
curve ball thrown at them.

I will also add that you don't even have to install sr-1 to fix this..but
simply turn off track-name autocorrect....(however, this bug is fixed by
installing the sr1 update...so there is two way to fix this problem).

simply turn off track-name autocorrect...?

Where can I do this from, I sintalled the SR1 but it says Off. Premium doesn't reqire this update..???

Thanks for all your help Albert D. Kallal (Access MVP)

I think MS should give you a job as Tech. Support

Found it, still does it now and then - tested by opening different type of reports orientations in fast sequence
and it still does it, but solves the problem short term

Thanks again Champion

Thanks to all who replied to this inquiry. I've tried a
few different things and am down to thinking that it's
related to the printer configuration.
