Thanks for taking the time to read my question.

I want to make a report that is based on a crosstab query. My only problem
is that I will never know how many columns I will have. I am not sure how to
make a dynamic report like this. Is it possible in Access?

Thanks,

Brad

Man, you're all over the place! Thanks so much for the quick reply, and for
all your help on this Forum.

Hi Duane,

I took a look at those examples. They both use a predetermined number of
columns. One db was based on the number of months in a year (Max 12) for
number of columns, and the other one had a limit of A-H, or 8 columns max.

Do I just make a really large limit, and then try to hide the column if
there is no data for the category? Then if the user goes over that, then
that's just a limit of the program?

Thanks again.

The sample you think had only 8 is designed to show 8 in the report. If
there are over 8, the next group of 8 will "wrap" under the first 8. That
makes up to 16. This will continue to about as many "wraps" as you would
ever need.

I chose 8 columns because that was the maximum number that would fit across
a page. If your data will allow more than 8, you can modify the code and
crosstab to display any number across until you need to wrap.

If you look close, the columns may vary from group to group.

Hi Duane,

I wanted to try this on another DB, but was unable to download the examples
again. Does that link still work, oris there another link now?

Thanks,

Brad
