I have a report that is based on a query which has a table and query joined. The query is designed to show all records from the query so that I can display every month of the year even though future months will have no data. The query works fine.

In the report it splits the months that have data and puts them in a separate area to those that have no data. I can't work out why. I basically want to show running data for the year from July - June. Any ides please.

We have no idea what you mean by "separate area". Do you mean different
sections? Can you tell us which sections? Try set the background colors to
unique values and see if you can figure out what is happening.

What I have is a database that evaluates staff each month (also broken into Q1- Q4) giving them a score. On the report I want to see all 12 months from July - June and at the end the avg score per quarter. I have it working now but it's not ideal. I have now grouped by Quarter which ceratinly works but it means that I can't have the entire year with results underneath.

This is what I currently have....

July
Aug
Sept
Q1 Avg

Oct
Nov
Dec
Q2 Avg

etc

This is what I want please.

July
Aug
Sept
Oct
Nov
Dec
Jan
Feb
Mar
Apr
May
June

Q1 Avg
Q2 Avg
Q3 Avg
Q4 Avg

Year to date

Thanks, hope this is clearer.

The answer is the same as my reply to an earlier posting. You can create a
totals query based on Quarter and then use it as the record source for a
subreport.
