report generated from different forms

i have 2 forms one form that the user adds proposal information (form A).
the other is to review proposal information (form B). the user needs to
print a proposal from either one.

how do i set the query that the proposal is based on to say "if form A is
open then use the proposal id from that form, else if form B is open then
use the proposal id from that form."

hope this makes sense. up to this point i have been creating 2 queries and 2
reports that are identical except for being based on the form that is
currently open.

Place a command button on each form.
The command button uses OpenReport to open the report, and the
WhereCondition can limit it to the Proposal ID in the form.
