I mainly have a genteral question concerning the output
of a report. I have gone thru the report wizard and
created a report. The report wizard gives the report a
design. When I go to publish with Word much of the
design disappears. Is there a way to keep the wizard
design when sending the report to Word?
Thanks in advance.

This is not unusual. When you "publish" an Access report to Word, Access
creates a document in RTF (rich-text format), readable by but not the same
as a Word document.

If you must keep the exact design and format of the report but do not need
to be able to edit the report after it is created, you may want to
investigate one of the inexpensive (or free) PDF drivers such as PDF995
(http://www.pdf995.com). Alternatively, you can create your "report design"
in a Word template (.dot) file and use Automation to open the template and
fill it with data from your Access database.

John,

In addition to Cheryl's excellent advice...
1. My first choice would always be to output the report to Snapshot
format whenever possible.
2. If it really has to be a Word document, there is some good sample
code in Stephen Lebans' ReportUtilities available from
http://www.lebans.com/ReportUtilities.htm
