Report format as a "table"

I am trying to format a report to have the grid of a table
by making visible borders on each field and then ensuring
the records start right after another (in design view).
There are several fields extending across the report for
each record. However, the fields only extend as far as the
text fills the field. Therefore, there is no solid
horizontal line across the report because each line has a
different volume of text. Also, the vertical sides of each
field/box do not extend down to the next field.

I know this is easy but I cannot figure it out. The
cangrow and canshrink properties of all the text boxes are
both yes.
