Using Access 2000 we have a split database with only
one "administrator" user and 8 data entry users.
Permissions were assigned by groups depending on what
data each user would need access to.
Now I have one user that will also need to be able to
make design changes to her reports and the queries or SQL
statements those reports are based on. Logging in
as "administrator" I gave this user "administrator"
permission to only the reports and queries that she could
modify.
My problem is that although she can modify the queries
and save them fine, she can get into design view of the
reports, but always gets the message "you do not have
exclusive access to the database at this time. if you
proceed to make changes, you may not be able to save
them." and this is true...she can't save any changes to
a report. I know there was nobody else in the database
at the time...we've tried several times, and I can make
the change as "administrator", but she still can't.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong??
Thanks!
