MY DRIVER VERSION IS 0.1.2.8 THE CAMERA SAYS MICRO INNOVATIONS ON IT BUT IN
THE DEVICE MANAGER IT SAYS SoC PC-CAMERA PROVIDER IT ALSO SAYS IT WORKING
PROPERLY AND MY MIC ISNT THERE AT ALL
 
Your mic would be listed under Sound, Video and Game Controllers in Device Manager
To test/setup your mic right click on speaker icon in system notification area at bottom
right of the taskbar, choose recording devices and set up your mic there

To use your web cam to snap pictures you will need an application to do so
Have you visited the Micro Innovations site to see if there are Vista drivers/applications?
 
PLEASE turn off your caps lock key (it is interpreted to mean SHOUTING)

Your mic is not listed under Sound, Video and Game Controllers?
(It will NOT be shown under Imaging Devices.)

Go to Micro Innovations site anyway and check for Vista drivers/applications anyway.

Firstly please turn off the all caps. It's considered rude and shouting.
Secondly you need to reply to the original thread, not create a new one;
this isn't a chat room. If you can't find a previous post search for it
using Google groups advanced search. This newsgroup is
microsoft.public.windows.vista.hardware_devices. Search on your name as
author.
