Outlook 2003. When I go to reply to emails, the text is black. I want it to
be blue. It's usually blue automatically, but nothing I do seems to get it
that way. I've tried various options from the tools menu but nothing seems
to be working. Any ideas? Thanks. Ken

it comes in as plain text, if I change it to HTML, still cannot reply in
blue; if I go to Word as editor, still cannot..

just messing around I discovered that any email that came in as HTML I can
reply in blue, but any email that comes in as plain text I cannot, nor can I
if I change that plain text email to HTML. Is there a way to get all
incoming email to be HTML even if they didn't send it that way? Thanks. Ken

Err, just a thought, but, well... text color isn't a feature in a plain text
email, right? So, if the person sending you a mail is sending you a plain
text email, it's for one of a couple reasons:

1) their mail program doesn't support html messages. So, your changing the
message to html and then putting in whatever color you want isn't going to
change their email experience. Just yours.

2) they don't like html email (count me in this camp). So, they send plain
text messages. So you change it to html and add in color and send it back.
Do you think they'll enjoy that?

or, of course, 3) They don't know how to use html mail in their email
client. Which means they're goign to mail you back and say 'Hey, I use
Joe's mail client. How do I get color too?'

Just want you to think about the possible reprecussions here.
