Outlook 2003 WinXP

Help, I have 2 important emails in my out box and Outlook will not send
them. They did not go automatically as usual nor when I click Tools/Send
All (I have an always on high speed cable connection). Everything else
works normally, Outlook even receives email fine. I have a good connection,
Firefox and Outlook Express (for newsgroups) are all working fine. I have
made no changes regarding the system or adding/removing programs. I need to
get these two messages on their way ASAP.

Help Please.

Thanks in advance... Bob

What version of Outlook?
What kind of server (Exchange vs. POP3/IMAP)?
If POP3/IMAP, what happens if you go to Start - Run - telnet <address of
smtp server> 25?

No error message at all. It just sits in my outbox, in italics if that
makes any difference.

What error message are you getting. Can you post it here

Do other emails send normally and leave the two offending ones behind?

If you have more than one email account, double click the stranded email
from the Outbox, and select the "accounts" button and try a different
account to send. I have had a similar situation occur and this has worked
for me.

Otherwise: Do they have attachments? Are they larger than your ISP's size
limit??

No attachments, the problem is with all email, neither close/reopen or
Detect & Repair helped.
Outlook is trying though. Every few seconds the email flickers. I clicked
the show progress option and saw an error message "operation timed out
waiting for response from server". This is not the case though as Outlook
Express sends & receives fine.

Your conclusion is invalid. You can't deduce anything at all about Outlook
based on Outlook Express's behavior. Use diagnostic logging to see what's
really happening.

Looks like the simplest of conclusions was overlooked. A simple reboot of
the computer seems to have done the trick.
