replies go to Inbox instead of Sent Items

On one of our insitution's workstations of Outlook all
replies seem to go into the Inbox instead of the Sent
Items folder. I've never seen this behavior before, does
anyone have a clue about how to fix this?

There are no server-side or client-side rules set up for
this.

The person probably has the option checked to keep the reply with the
original.

problem. However, do you have any explanations as to the
purpose of this setting?
