Just a short reply in response to an earlier post (below) I came across
Take it as you may it's just one users opinion and not made to invoke any
arguments.

I myself am a relatively new forum user and have posted both "dumb" and
then somewhat more involved (to me anyway) questions. What does bother me is
when users CHOOSE to reply without providing any knowledge or answer the
question. but simply to belittle and insult the user posting the question in
search of help.

We all, as in every aspect of life, have both expertise and weakness in many
varying subjects and PC use is by far no different. In regards to PC
knowledge itself the level of skill varies immensly even from topic to topic.
A questions posted by one user may seem so ridiculous to another, yet that
users posts may be seen the same to another.

Not to be a tree-hugging hippy, but I came here hoping to both share
knowledge on topics that I have become quite knowledgeable in AND to seek
advice whatever and however silly the question may be. My understanding of
this forums objective was to share knowledge and enable us all to deal with
our woeful PC problems and stresses. Just a thought, but why reply with
insults and then NOT even provide an answer when you can just avoid and move
on. Seems so much more effective that way . But, what the hell do I know,
I'm clueLESS remember?

As a footnote,
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND TO PROVIDE MEANINGFUL,
INFORMATIVE HELP REGARDING QUESTIONS--- along--- WITH PROVIDING LINKS TO
SITES OR OTHER SOURCES THAT MAY PROVIDE MORE INDUE INFO SO WE "NONE EXPERTS"
CAN HELP OURSELVES RESOLVE PC PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

You are VERY MUCH appreciated. And I mean this beyond words, especially
taking into account how our own personal lives are and how little time we
seem to have during the day for "me time". Those using this time to extend
help to others seems to have become a greatly UNDER APPRECIATED deed and I
for one (among many others I'm sure) extend a HEARTFELT THANKS for taking the
time to lend a hand. To the rest.....well why bother.

Take Care All.

Yes, well this is the second time you've posted this message. It is a
very nice message, but this is Usenet - not a forum - which means it is
basically unmoderated. You'll always get trolls and unhelpful people.
You have to learn to ignore them, or just killfile them.

To get more out of this resource, learn to access Usenet with a
newsreader and not the very clumsy web interface. There are many good
newsreaders for Windows, but you can use Outlook Express which you
already have. Using a newsreader will also give you the ability to
filter posts. Here is information to help you set up a newsreader and
to learn a little about Usenet:

I agree with you but there is not stopping stupid folks.
If you use OE you can stop their replies.
They like to push a button so if you ignore them they try someone else.

And Niel removed me from the list of unhelpful people. Though we didn't resolve who had exclusive rights to the name "Kelly". All Kellys seem to think it's their right to use their name.
