All versions will supports replication but the Developer edition is only for
development, not for deployment or production. Even MSDE will support many
of the available replication models of SQL-Server. (I think it's the
transactional merge replication wich is not supported by MSDE but I'm not
sure).
However, there is the possibility of licensing issues; as for the SQL-Server
7 version, the replication will only work when the main SQL-Server is in
Per-Seat mode. For SQL-Server 2000, I don't know exactly what are theses
licensing issues. There as so many possibilities of versions and licensing
when it's come to SQL-Server that's hard to follow them.
