Replication error

I have transferred the FSMO roles to another DC because I
want to remove the original DC from the network. Whenever
I remove the Original DC from the network, I get this
message after running DCDIAG.
NTSRV2 LDAP connection failed with error 58, NTSVR@ is
the domain owner, but is not responding to LDAP Bind.
Starting Test replication NTSVR2 DCBIND<> failed with
error 1722 the RPC server is unavailable.

The message goes away once I connect NTSVR2 back to the
network. I have used the AD user and computer and site
and services to transfer the FSMO roles. What am I
missing.

You need to run dcpromo on the original machine to
properly demote it and remove it from the directory.
