I know there's a way to get multiple DHCP servers to carry
the same information without setting up the scopes on each
server individually, but I can't seem to find anything that
says HOW to get them to do it. The reason I say I know
this, is because I've seen it done -- one of the more
senior techs here where I work has done it several months
ago, and has now assigned me the task of doing it again on
a third server.
We're wanting to take one of the DHCP servers off-line
permanently, but before we do, we want to make sure that
the DHCP is up and running on a third server which will be
moving across town, and so will be geographically
separate, for redundancy purposes.
Right now our primary DHCP server is a desktop PC running
Win2k Server. I have brought up DHCP on a third server, but
it is not getting the scopes replicated from the other
servers, as I had hoped it would "automagically" do.
If anyone knows how to do this, please CC me directly on
this, as I'm about to tear my (remaining) hair out over this!
Thanks....
