I am so new to this stuff, I just can't get a break. Here is my problem, I
used Windows Movie Maker to make a slideshow with music. I burned 1 DVD @
2.?x speed on nero plays great fron CPU. 2nd DVD burned @ 16x with nero plays
great from CPU. 3rd CD burned from movie maker itself and same thing. None of
these will play on my other DVD players in the house. What am I doing wrong?
I thought maybe to burn from movie maker to a DVD instead, but I am tired of
wasting DVD's and CD's. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks, Bryant

Well I must of missed something cause it still did not work. I saved movie as
a dv-avi, then I burned it with nero vision. No luck.....

Hi
Did you burn as a DVD-video? If you burned as a data disk, it won't play
in any standalone DVD player! It must be "DVD-video", NOT data.
Did you finalise the disk?

Hi bg77
I have an exact step-by-step instruction for using Nero to create a "proper"
DVD on my website.
[DVD Creation -> Ahead Nero]
It is written using Nero Premium 7 which comes with a new version of Nero
Vision Express (version 3) but if you have Nero 6 the steps are basically
the same if not exactly the same.

Wojo, Thanks for the info off your site. When I go to open my files there
are none. Is this because they are dv-avi? Do thet need to be bub, vob, ifo
Files? I am confused, not hard to do. If I need to change them can I do that
in movie maker/

Thanks...Bryant

I tried with a burn using nero vision express 3 and its slideshow program on
a CD-R Audio disk with the same results. It will not play on my player. I am
confused as to why this is so hard to do. I can copy my DVD's and CD's with
no problems, but I can't copy my pics. with music for a slideshow. Am I just
a complete Dumba__, or what? (No need to answer that):)

Any more help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks.....Bryant

:

MM only makes HiMat versions of cd's which only play on pc's. You need
to
use Nero to author the dvd. Check out their site as they lots of
tutorials
if you don't know how to do this.
Start by saving your movie as a dv-avi in MM.

Import into Nero
Author and burn.

If you are creating a slideshow with Nero and doing it on a CD then make
sure you choose "Make Photo Slideshow (VCD)" from the choices on Nero Start
Smart. If not all you are doing is creating a slideshow on a CD that will
only play on a computer.
