If I replace the current drive in a single drive system,

What is the easiest way to copy my C drive to a new drive so I can upgrade
the drive??
Can I just plug in the drive as D:, and then select all on C.. copy to D:
and then swap the drives and the system will just GO??

TIA

Easiest way is to use the copy utility from the new drives manufacturer
to copy over the contents. Visit the web site and download it if there
is not one provided with the drive.

Get a copy of Symantec Ghost to clone the drive to a new drive.
You don't need to use Sysprep, just Ghost.

does the hard drive provide a transfer utility ? many of
them do.

Ghost is a good option (costs)

I have used XXClone for that successfully:

http://www.xxclone.com/

It is freeware for personal use.
