Replacing my BIOS chip

Can the BIOS chip be replaced without losing data on my hard drive? Am unable to boot the computer.
 
Some can be replaced, some can't, because some are in sockets and some are
surface mounted. Did you try to flash your BIOS and have a failure? Why do
you think the BIOS is bad?
Changing the BIOS won't affect what is on your hard drive.
