I have three file that have been einfected. They are now
quarantined but they were all from the system32\ directory
and were netd32.exe, DLLHOST.exe, spread.exe and netd32.dat.

Can I delete these files. If so do I need to reinstall
them. If I need to reinstall where can I find these
files?, are they separately downloadable? can I take them
from another win2000 system? or must I (horrors) re-install
windows.

For general information on what to do about a specific virus go to one of
the vendors such as http://securityresponse.symantec.com/ for instructions.
You should be able to delete them as Windows File Protection keeps copies of
important system files in the \dllcache folder. After deleteing them it
would not hurt to run System File Checker sfc /scannow where you may be
prompted for the install disk. See the link to the FAQ for more tips. ---
