Replacing a Windows 2000 FP AND ADC

Hi

We have an intermittant hardware issue with one of our file and print
servers which is also an ADC.

We have purchased new hardware and wish to move everything across and this
server have the same name etc.

Am i right in thinking, I can backup the system state from the old server
and restore this to the new server (off the network) this will then be in
reality the same server - the data part.

Data is currently stored on a SAN so we can simply move the hosting of this
across.

Moving the system state, will this mean its aware of what shares are and
permissions , print queues etc it owns?

Or is there a documented procedure on how to do this.
