I set up a home intranet (4 computers) after installing
an SMC router. I recently replaced it with a Linksys
router. All 4 computers have good Internet access, BUT no
longer have access to one another. I suspect that all 4
computers are looking for the original IP addresses for
each other, but the Linksys router has assigned new IP
addresses. How do I re-establish my home intranet?

have you tried going to start up, run - type cmd, then
ipconfig_/release and then after dos completes its task,
type ipconfig_/renew to try and get new ip addresses?
if cmd doess not work, type command. we need your
operating system.
I have the exact opposite, both computers communicate and
one can not get the internet. go figure....any
suggestions?

Get the IP address of the other computer (ipconfig /all at a command
prompt) and see i you can ping it from another machine.
Also make sure that the Linksys router has DHCP enabled and all the
computers are set to "Obtain an IP address automatically".
