I bought a PC 3/2002 and I had to replace the HDD 80 Gb.
The PC booted properly until 8/2002 when it stopped
booting. I got to start rebooting, but it only boot until
the "Windows XP" logo and it freezes there.

How to get it to boot completely?

Do I have to register the Win XP with microsoft again?

If so, how do I get the number to register it again?

Hi,

I would think you have cloned the whole image of the old
HDD to the new HDD. If this is the case, you need to boot
from the XP CD and perform a repair install of XP. Of
course, you need to re-activate windows and update the
patches again.
