I use a fixed IP address on this one computer in my home network.
About two years ago, I replaced a failing Netgear PCI network card with a new one.
I don't remember, but I might have installed the new card in a different PCI slot.
Every time I mess with any setting on my network adapter, I get a warning popup message:
The IP address 192.168.1.51 you have entered for this network adapter is already assigned to another adapter 'NETGEAR
FA310TX Fast Ethernet Adapter'.... etc. is hidden from the Network Connections folder because it is not physically in
the computer. .... etc.
How do I get this deceased and forever gone adapter removed from the networking managment?
