REplaced motherboard on an XP System

I had to replace the motherboard on my system and now it
just keeps rebooting. A blue screen appears briefly but
there is no way to see the message.
In safe mode bootup, it stops after the GERNUWA.SYS file
name appears on the screen.
The new motherboard is an ASUS A7N8X deluxe.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Greetings --

Normally, and assuming a retail license (many OEM licenses are not
transferable to a new motherboard), unless your motherboard is
virtually identical (same chipset, same IDE controllers, same BIOS
version, etc.) to the one on which the other WinXP installation was
originally performed, you'll need to perform a repair (a.k.a. in-place
upgrade) installation, at the very least:

As always when undertaking such a significant change, back up any
important data before starting.

This will also require re-activation. If it's been more than 120
days since you last activated that specific Product Key, you'll most
likely be able to activate via the internet without problem. If it's
been less, you might have to make a 5 minute phone call.

I'm actually have the same exact issue, except I haven't recently made
any hardware changes. I do believe I just recently uninstalled
PCAnywhere, however, and this file seems to have some relation. Any
additional ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I encounter the same problem. Just boot up with DOS and goto windows\system32\driver and ren the filename to any other name will do.
