I would like to replace all the text from column 46 through column 60 with
spaces. Is there way I can do that?

Each character with a space, or each cell with a space?

Each character with a space -- I just want to wipe out all the contents in
column 46-60 in a word document. I am a little confused with term cell.
Cell makes me think of Excel.

I think I figured out something. I need to keep it in table format and then
I can just delete the columns. Thanks for comment about cells.

Hold down the Alt key and then left click and hold with the mouse on the
first character that you want to delete and drag down and to the right.
Then press delete.
