replace a sheet of one file with the other

hi,
i have file with several sheets. i have another copy of the same file but
with several changes.
i need to replace a sheet of one file with the other.
i tried to to copy sheet, but there were links to the source. if i break the
links i get the values of the cells without pointers to other sheets.
do you have an idea how to replace sheets between workbooks but still have
the same formulas? (without links to other workbook)

hi Miri,

Assuming that all the linked sheets have the same names, the easiest way is
probably to:
-copy the wanted sheet with the links to the source file as you have,
-change to manual calculation (it may speed things up) by pressing [alt + t
+ o], choosing Calculation - Manual & [ok]
-press [alt + e + k] to edit links,
-select the source file from the list (it may be the only one there),
-click on "change source", choose your activeworkbook from the dialogbox
that appears & [ok].
*Important - Return to automatic calculation by pressing [alt + t + o],
choosing Calculation - Automatic & [ok]
