In 02 i insert sound to play automatically. When I hyperlink to that slide
the clip plays. When I go back to another slide and then relink to the
slide with sound it doesn't play. How do I make it play everytime a go to
that slide?

When you "come back" to a slide, the animations are not automatically reset.
The animations are only reset when a slide is "advanced into". The sound
play is an animation, so ....

Place a new blank, hidden slide prior to the slide you are linking back to.
Set the auto timed advance to 0:00 seconds and link back to this new slide
instead. When shown, it will quickly advance into the slide you want with
the animates and sound play reset.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint does not reset animations and slide timings (including
automatically playing inserted multimedia) on a previously viewed slide
when you jump to it from a later viewed slide. Of course, they are reset
when the presentation loops back to the beginning or you navigate
"naturally" to a slide from it's previous slide. Here is a KB article for
PowerPoint 2000 that describes a couple of workarounds (similar articles
exist for other versions of PowerPoint):

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;197701&Product=ppt

If it is important to you (or anyone else reading this message) that
PowerPoint include a method for choosing whether or not animations on
slide(s) replay when revisted without normal looping (perhaps a slide or
presentation option, or a Action Setting which can be chosen during slide
show), without having to resort to VBA or add-ins, don't forget to send
your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
