I have form letters that require the same number typed in two places o
the letter, is there a way to type the number in one place and have i
fill in the second place with the same number.

This is a locked document with Text form fields to be filled in.

Thank Yo

Since this is a protected form, I assume that you are entering the number in
a text form field at some point. Every form field has a built-in bookmark.
For text form fields, they are Text1, Text2, etc., in the order of creation
of the fields, but you can change the bookmark in the Form Field Options
dialog.

To repeat the number (or any other text) entered in a text form field, use
Insert | Cross-reference (Insert | Reference | Cross-reference in Word 2002
and 2003) to insert a cross-reference to the "Bookmark text" of the selected
bookmark. Note that this is not a form field, just an ordinary
cross-reference field. In the Form Field Options dialog for the text form
field, check the box for "Calculate on exit" so that the cross-reference
will update automatically.
