Repeating backspace key

I upgraded my video drivers and now my backspace key will only move one
character at a time, even when held down. It used to move quickly if I held
it down.

How do I get it to repeat when held down?

What operating system?

A lot of video drivers now install a keyboard hook for
things like "hotkeys" that make video driver changes. If
using WinXP, check task manager for it running in the
background, kill the process and see if the backspace
functionality returns. If you can't identify which item it
is in task manager, search through possible candidates.
