Does anyone know what the deal with Pc-Cillan is that if it is set to
automatically update, it will get the update every 4 minutes for days
on end? I am having to update it manually -- setting the update
'refresh' to every 12 hours or less often does not stop it from
getting the update every 4 minutes, but the update log shows a
successful update each and every time... What is going on?

I would say you have file corruption. IIRC, you can go to the TIS 2004
folder and execute the PCCTool.exe file. If you navigate the menu that
brings up, you should find a tab that deals with deleting temporary
files. Click on it. That should wipe the temporary data that appears to
be corrupted. See KB article below:

I tried your solution, and as identified in the KB article for Trend,
and it worked -- for one day. Since I have the update frequency set for
12 hours, that means it worked twice before returning to the repreaded
downloading of the update. It has changed slightly in that instead of
repeating for hours on end, it usually stops after a couple of hours,
but that is still 15 'successful' updates before it finally stops.
Any ideas?

Thanks,

Phil
