just installed a used maxtor 80gb hd. was already
formated with fat32. maxtor 3 software states to use xp.
i need to know how to get rid of the partition on this
second drive then set two partitions with one being ntfs
and second one with fat32 <4gb size>. xp warns not to
delete partition? is there another way and do i have to
use fdisk to reset the partitions on second harddrive +
could i also just ignore maxtor 3's warning and continue
to set 2 partions on second harddrive.

A question: Is your primary OS installed on the 80gb Maxtor drive? If so,
it is possible that your only back up of your OS is on a hidden partition on
the HD, which is why XP is warning you against deleting the partiton
