After i perform a scandisk to a harddrive , I can't add a pst file to
outlook 2000. It reported that the user account must be preconfigure
when i add the file. Also i tried to use scanpst.exe to repair the
file, it reported that some error prevent it being repaired, must
scandisk first. Are there anyway to open the pst file ? Thanks.

Regards,
Daniel

MIlly, the file is around 60mb only. Prior to this problem i did a
scandisk to the harddrive and found some error and i fix it. But i
don't see any problem to the pst. What usually causes this type of
problem ?

Daniel

Do you have an account set up in outlook? You may need to make a new profile
- the scandisk could have found errors in one a file that affected the
profile.
