Hi,
I'm having a problem with repairing a windows 2000 prof.

I get all the way thru the disks and when the question of
repairing comes it tells me it can't find a Windows 2000
installation. I then have to quit and restart. When I
restart there is all my information. I used registry
mechanic and must have inadvertently deleted something
because when I try to install a new software program I
bought it gives me an error, that is why I tried to repair
it.

Has this happened to anyone and if so can you help me?
Thanks
Donna

Well what about telling us the error your getting when you try to install?
Maybe this can be fixed without a repair or reinstall.

The error I receive when trying to install is following
Cannot find dynamic link MSDART.DLL could not be found

That must have been the problem. Now it installs. Can
you tell me what this error means.

Run time error 429 ActiveX component can't create object.

How do I fix this?

Thanks

It seems like recent update was incomplete. This file is a part of MDAC and
you can reinstall it from
