Repairing the preferences section under vista beta2 - Windows Mobility Center

I installed Active Sync before I heard that it didn´t work with Vista
anymore.
So I deinstalled it but now the windows mobility center didn´t work anymore.

If I select this icon to open it, it will crash with an error message.

So I search for a solution to repair the preferences section unter vista
beta 2.

Do you have any hint for me?
Could I deinstall some part of vista and after rebooting reinstall them
again or is the only solution to reinstall vista beta 2 completly?

Thanks for your answer but this didn´t work because the restore point isn´t
available anymore. I installed so much things in the last days where a
restore point was set automatically so the old ones were deleted...

Sorry, I forgot the error message I got (maybee someone would know what it
mean and how I could repair this):

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040154): Die
COM-Klassenfactory für die Komponente mit CLSID
{EE05EDE6-97CF-4D00-9B20-AD9EC0B45108} konnte aufgrund des folgenden Fehlers
nicht abgerufen werden: 80040154.
bei Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DeviceCenter.Program.Main()
 
Yes, I thought this may be the case. Perhaps some of the more seasoned
professionals here will have a better answer for you.
