I am trying to use jetcomp 3.5 SP3 to repair a corrupt
secure database. However, I don't know where to put in the
mdw filename that it must use to repair the database. It
obviously tries to use system.mdw. The user has no
permission to this database therefore it says "You don't
have permission to use this database see your system
administrator." How do I tell it what mdw file to use?
Please HELP!

Couldn't you use the workgroup administrator program to join the secured
workgroup (ie. set that workgroup as the default one) before you run
jetcomp - then run w/a again to set the workgroup back?

HTH,

Thanks TC - I did try that originally but still got the no permissions - can't read tables error message. It might have been that the data was corrupt therefore it could not fix it.
Thanks again for your help, I thought that I might have missed a switch or something in the command line for database to compact

Thank
Bett
