You don't say how you backed up your system. If you have Vista Business or
Ultimate and you used the Complete PC Backup option then you will need your
Vista DVD to re-install the back ups. Boot from the Vista DVD and select the
repair options and the click on the Windows Complete PC restore option (see
http://vistasupport.mvps.org/windows_vista_repair_options.htm )
If you used another third party application for backup then you would need
that application to re-install the backups. The same will go for third party
imaging software such as Acronis true Image.
If you are referring to the restore disks supplied by your PC manufacturer
then you should find instructions on how to restore the system in your PC
user manual.
