If you can get access to a copy of Excel 2002 then that has a repair facility in it, or you could
also download OpenOffice from www.openoffice.org which is great at repairing dodgy Excel files
(50MB download though).

Push come to shove, then by all means send me the file (As long as it is no more than a MB or two)
and I will give it a go with both for you. I'm always interested to see what can and can't be
recovered, so it is no hassle. You would need to take the NOSPAM out of my email address.

I just downloaded it -- it's 61.5 megs!

Openoffice or his dodgy file??? <vbg>

Might well be an updated version to when I downloaded it, though to be honest I only *think* it
was circa 50MB now, couldn't swear to it. It's a neat tool though, especially considering the
purchase price of £0. Only niggly things I hav ehad with it so far are that when I open some
Excel files in it, I seem to lose all the formulas in the formula bar. They are still there and
working, but I just can't see them sometimes (As though cells were protected with 'hidden' in
Excel). Saving to an OpenOffice format usually cures that though, and then bingo suddenly they
appear.

Just checked, and it is an update. It is now version 1.1, whereas I had 1.0.3.1 - Guess I need to
update now then. :-)
Filesize before was 52,632KB, but as you say, it is now 61.5MB
