How do you repair MDAC 2.8 on windows 2003?

You would need to run MDAC 2.8 installation again.

Thanks for your reply. But If you go to
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=828396 it says that :

"Note No installation support for this stand-alone release is offered for
the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating system because this same version
of MDAC is included with Windows Server 2003. " and also :

"2.8 MDAC_TYP.exe and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 If you try to run the
2.8 MDAC_TYP.exe file on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003,
installation of the MDAC components appears to complete successfully.
However, no files are updated on your system. This behavior occurs because
by default, Windows Server 2003 includes the MDAC 2.8 components. "

So if it part of the OS how do I repair it?

Hi,

In a Windows XP you could do this just running Windows Installation and it
repaired it. I did not try with Windows 2003, but I think this way should
work as well
