Something is seriously wrong.
I have a large and complex Access Database. It works beautifully....until.....
When I go into one specific form in my database, none of the buttons work
and none of the VB Coding works. I can't even close the form using the
standard buttons. I can only close the form using the X button in the Top
Right Corner.
Then when I try and Repair and Compact it tells me that the database is tied
up by andother user...MYSELF!! How can I be preventing myself from repairing
a database? I have never had that problem before.
Then when I exit and then go to log back in I don't even get prompted for a
log in and password....it simply opens right up and goes to the main menu.
When I Exit again and look at the directory in which the Database resides I
can still see the LDB (Locking Database) file. I can't delete the file!
All I can do is CTRL+ALT+DEL to pull up the task manager, click on the
Database, and "End Task".
When I go back in it prompts me like normal. As long as I don't go into the
one particular form everything works fine. I can repair and compact and
everything.
One last twist. If I create an MDE copy of the database... the form which
screws everything up?.....it works perfectly!
HELP!
