Reoccuring Error Message

I have two computers networked. I have a drive letter set
up for the C drive of my other computer. Every time I
start up my Win 2000 machine (without the other one on) I
get the error message:

An error occurred while reconnecting F: to {my other
computer's C drive}

Microsoft Windows Network: The network path was not found.

The problem being windows does not continue to load after
the message comes up. So I have to click OK every time I
start up the computer (I do not want to disconect the
drive).

How can I get rid of this message?

I've seen posts about win 95 or 98 talking about "quick
login" but I can not seem to find this option in 2000.

Thanks,
Scott

You, most likely, have installed a network drive (located on the other
computer.) Windows will search for this drive everytime you logon to
windows. If the other computer is down/off-the-network it will prompt
you with this message saying the path was not found.

Like a previous follow-up answered, you should disable
"Reconnect at logon" by removing the network drive and creating one
again but this time uncheck the "Reconnect at logon" box.

Unchecking Reconnect at login makes it so I have to
redefine the drive anytime I want to use it. I want to
continue to have that drive defined from startup to
startup. I just don't want to have the error message halt
the startup process when I start the computer.

Is there another solution?

Thanks,
Scott
