Renegade can't work on win2k!!!help

i've tried to install renegade on my PC that include:
directx 8, and my voodoo 3 16 MB Drivers,and it worked on
win 98 perfectlly!!!, but i can't install it on win2k, is
someone can help me, i apreciate it!!!

It might work if you try running it in 'compatibility mode' - right-click on
the shortcut, properties, compatibility tab (I'm on XP right now but I think
it's similar in W2k). Change the settings & try. If not, try contacting the
program developer for more help.

If a Westwood game refuses to install on Windows 2000, it won't install
and that's all there is to that. If you somehow mange to trick it into
installing, it won't run. Many PC games are written for and tested on one
specific version of Windows and won't run correctly -- or possibly at all
-- on any other.
