i get an error message when i try to render a 190kb photostory, even though i
have reloaded both PS3 and Wmedia player11, and checked that I have a huge
amount of room on my hard drive. I have re-created the photostory from
scratch and still get the same error message. HELP

How many images are included in the project?

What...exactly...is the error message?

The error message advised that I might have a corrupted file in media player
or ps3 and to reload them. Is there a maximum size for photostories? maybe
the program has maxed out

my story has about 200 photos and 3 sound files It is 190 MB so its BIG. Does
photostory 3 have a maximum file size? even when I take photos out of the
story (to reduce size) the same error message appears.

=============================
Image limit is 300 but may be less if
there are many pans/zooms/traansitions
and music files.

Doesn't sound like that is your problem.

Have you done any maintenance recently?
Delete temp files, run error checking, run defrag?

I don't know if the following articles will help
but it may be worth a look:

have tried all sorts of remedies (including ideas suggested in the noted
articles) but it appears that I need more working RAM. What size RAM do you
think is needed?

I'm no expert on RAM but I would
suspect 1 GB would be good and
2 GB would be even better....many
computers are shipping now with 2
GBs. As we all are discovering...
video is memory intensive.

I HAVE JUST BEEN ON TO MIKE SWANSON'S BLOG AND FOUND THAT OTHERS ARE GETTING THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE AS ME:

I managed to get the program installed and working, but when it is 'building
the story' at the end of it all, I get to step 3, and then get 'there is not
enough memory or disk space to complete this operation' etc.

I've done everything it says to do, re-installed, even re-downloaded &
re-installed, and tried it on 3 different computers, all with massive HDD's
and more than enough RAM, any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I've come to
the conclusion that it must be something I've done, otherwise, why would I
get the same error message at the same point on 3 different computers?

I WONDER WHAT SOLUTION THEY FOUND

Yelling at me won't solve the problem...
I've patiently tried to help you and the
result is a failure...perhaps you should
ask someone/somewhere else.

not "yelling" just using upper case to emphasise aspects of the info
