Hello,

I recently renamed the Windows 2000 Administrator account from
'Administrator' to ADM-OM as per security recommendations. After doing this
and restarting when I logged on my desktop was changed and My Documents was
empty. Also my Outlook profile was changed. When I look in documents and
settings in Windows explorer I see the Administrator account and all the
files I had before under Desktop and My Documents. Did I go about the change
wrong or is there something else I can do? Might this be fixed by renaming
my account back to Administrator or is there something else I can do?

Thank you for your help!

In the interests of expediency (fixing things instead of figuring out what
failed), you can of course copy your documents. And Outlook will show you
where it stores its data file. Assuming you do not have mail in the new one,
you should be able to overwrite the existing one with the original. Although
I do question the wisdom of running Outlook under the admin account.
