Renaming Personal Folder

I recently manually started up the archive process and
accidentally told it to archive outlook.pst into
outlook.pst. It came back telling me I could not do that
but Outlook now shows 'Outlook Today - [Archive Folders]'
rather than 'Outlook Today - [Personal Folders]' in the
folder pane.

Any idea how I might correct this ?

I am running Outlook 2002 (10.4712.4219) SP-2

Is there a [Personal Folder] still listed in the "folder pane" (folder
list)?

If it is, you can check Tools/E-mail accounts/View or change existing e-mail
accounts/Next/Deliver new e-mail to the following location: in the drop
down window, see if the "personal folder" is an option and select it.

If the personal folder isn't listed there, you may need to re-open it.
File/open/outlook data file/select the outlook.pst file, click ok...and then
do the previous step.

Thank you - this info helped & it did work. There was no
personal folders listed in the folder pane and changing
it in outlook did not work.

I then tried closing outlook and changing it via the mail
settings in control panel and got it back.
