renaming domain name

Hi,

I have to setup a new Win2k server i a new Domain. I'm wondering about the
domain name. Is it possible to change the name once the server and the local
network is up and running? Let's say you configured your domain with
johndoe.com and have to switch it to janedoe.com. Would it be possible?

I went out quickly and did a search and found this link It will provide the
info you need.

But the other should work so there site must be down temporarily. I looked
before I replied.

Domain rename is only possible if:
* domain without exchange: DCs>=w2k3
* domain with exchange: DCs>=w2k3 and Exch>= e2k3sp1

remember to check other apps!

don’t take a domain rename to lightly!
