Renaming domain controller

Can I change domain's controller name using ADSIEdit? If
the answer is positive, is it a good idea?

In computer A, in AD domain controllers, computer B
appears as: B■CNF:6127753C-.....

However, in computer B AD domain controllers, computer B
appears as it should be: B.

I found out that if I use ADSIEdit (from computer A) I am
able to change computers B name.

Any sugestions?

There was apparently a mismatch in computer names at a point in time, that
caused your server to become named like this. What is your server name
displayed on the server B ? If you have more than one DC, then you can just
dcpromo server B and remove AD from it. After that you can dcpromo it again
to become a DC.
