Hi,

I like to fiddle with my pc and have it the way I like it - I have renamed
and moved system folders - I'll spare the details - but have a couple of
sticking points:-

1) On the Start button menu I want to rename 'My Recent Documents' to 'My
Recent Files', put 'My Videos' folder in with 'My Pictures', etc

There was some other stuff but I'll have to update with a reply as I can't
remember.

Can this be done easily without tweek software and if not what tweek
software do you reccommend?

Can anyone help?

Cheers.

I don't think there is a way to rename the My recent documents on the start menu.

You can simply use Windows Explorer to drag the My Videos folder into the My Pictures folder.

right click the folder>rename
right click the folder>move folder to.

Unfortunately, renaming the My Recent Documents folder will not rename the item on the Start Menu like the OP wanted to do.

Yup, I misread the OP. I was referring to My Documents, not Recent
Documents.

Yeah I had a fiddle about displaying hidden folders and going into C:>Start
Menu and >Programs. The best I can do is put the 'Videos' folder( I want it
separate) in the top section of the right of the Start menu (which is useful
to know) or in the All Programs section.

Another thing now is I have somehow stopped the Music folder from having its
icon!
