Renaming a workstation

Hello,

Using AD Users and Computers and with the appropriate
permissions, can a workstation name be re-named withing an
OU?

You cannot rename a computer using the ADUC mmc -- but you can script it:

Rename a Computer and Computer Account
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/scriptcenter/compmgmt/ScrCM36.asp
(the machine needs to be rebooted after this script runs)
