renaming a folder in Outlook

I just tried renaming a folder in Outlook but the
backspace key didn't work. I had to highlight the folder
name and then start over. The backspace key works in all
other apps so it's not a keyboard issue.
 
You can't rename a folder that Outlook has created when it is the pst
holding the Outlook Today folder
