Is there a way to rename my D: & E: drives. They are both listed as CD,
but one is actually DVD and other is CDRW. MY son gets them mixed up all
the time and tries to do CDRW disks in the DVD drive.
I messed up when I installed them and the D drive is on the bottom and the E
drive is on top.

Right click on My Computer, click Manage then the storage folder and under
Disk Management you can change the drive letters.

Sorry, can't help. You might have to have to do something like unplug
them, & reinstall them.

Or you could just get out a screwdriver, and physically change them
around.

And while you're changing them, why not give them names that are both
mnemonic (contain a memory "trigger" that will help you remember them) and
out of the way in case you want to add a new hard drive or partition in the
future?

My CD-ROM used to be R:; now my DVD-ROM is V:; my DVD-RW is W:. ;<) And I
can use all the letters between D: (where WinXP is installed) and V: for
partitions to store my applications, data, experimental Windows versions
(like Longhorn - on L:), etc.
